David Allison
[pictured above] has coached high school,
junior college and adult athletes to numerous outstanding finishes.
He has helped athletes in the 5K and 8K to drop their times by 1-2
minutes in a 12-month span, and he has developed programs for adults
to qualify for The Boston Marathon, helping runners to
sometimes drop as much as 30-40 minutes off their marathon and half
marathon times. Dave himself is a top Masters athlete with
super-fast times in races ranging from the mile to the marathon.

Currently, Dave is the
head men’s and women's cross-country coach at GateWay Community
College, and is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach. Dave brings
his expertise to Gage Total Training and, in addition,

Steve Elwell [pictured above] is an
ACE certified personal trainer, LTF
certified “indoor cycling”
instructor, LTF certified endurance
swim coach, and a competitive
cyclist, triathlete and Ironman
competitor. Steve’s own journey to
fitness began when he decided to
take control of his weight and then
aimed his focus at competitive body
building. Later, his passion for
health and fitness led him to become
one of the most popular group
activity instructors at the Tempe
Lifetime Fitness center and the
leader of that center’s outdoor
cycling club. Currently, he leads
swimming, cycling and conditioning
classes for Lifetime Fitness Tempe
and is a regular on the outdoor
cycling circuit.
Steve can assist you in the areas of
bike fit, pedaling technique and
general cycling improvement, and he
is also knowledgeable about
nutrition, flexibility, strength
training and sports conditioning.
Steve is available for one-on-one
sessions and/ if you are an
experienced rider looking to
improve, you can participate in one
of the many outdoor cycling sessions
that he leads.

Curt Brumm [directly above] is a
former competitive swimmer who brings expertise to
Gage Total Training as a youth and adult swim
instructor. Curt is also an ACE certified personal
trainer, as well as a certified "Indoor cycling
class" instructor. Curt holds numerous sports
conditioning certifications and currently leads
Yoga, Indoor Cycling and Swim Classes at the Arizona
Grand Resort.
Curt's specialty is teaching and
improving the stroke technique of individuals who do
NOT have a competitive swimming background. He is
also adept at instructing those who are new to
endurance sports about the "finer points" of getting
started on a fitness lifestyle! If you suffer on
the swim, or if you find endurance sports to be a
bit intimidating, Curt is the perfect coach to guide
you toward success!

Kymmie Johnson is an
enthusiastic, high energy trainer who
loves to motivate people. She
incorporates unique drills, techniques
and training methods that help people
get into great condition, strengthen
their mental focus, build
self-confidence and improve their
efficiency and abilities to help them
achieve their personal goals. Kymmie specializes in competitive
swimming, strength training, and sport
specific conditioning. She has a great
passion for competitive running,
swimming, bodybuilding and triathlon.
Kymmie works primarily out of the
Ahwatukee YMCA
